San Leandro Car Accident on I-880 took another life this morning. A driver of an eighteen wheeler truck crashed a tree in a connector while changing I-880 to I-238 freeway. The man was driving Southbound on interstate 880. It is a very dangerous section of a freeway. I personally drive there from time to time and there are way too many cars coming into that tunnel from different directions. One must be extremely careful and cautious while driving there.
After the big truck struck the tree, it stopped in a knife-jacked position. It happened around 9.20 am according to California Highway Patrol report. Alameda Country corner’s bureau has reported that the driver of an eighteen wheeler died instantly. This connector was shut down for nearly three hours while authorities were investigating and cleaning up the mess.
